Hello Friends,

A couple of changes to our schedule that we wanted to make you aware of.

The Yarn Therapy session scheduled for this Sunday July 26th has been cancelled. We will be meeting next on Sunday August 23rd from 2-4pm here at The Creative Basket, 240 Main Street in Thessalon.

The Creative Basket will be closed Saturday August 1st so that our staff can enjoy the Thessalon Community Day celebrations with their families. We hope you all enjoy a safe and fun filled time, celebrating this wonderful town we are so fortunate to call home.

We continue to be open from Tuesday to Friday from 10am - 4pm and Saturdays from 10am - 3pm.

Stay tuned for news about our upcoming Christmas fabric sale.

You can find us at the Algoma Fibre to Fabric Festival on August 8th at the Johnson Township Community Centre in Desbarats from 9am - 2pm. There are a wonderful selection of workshops on offer which you can register for by going to algomafibretofabricfestival.ca and select workshops from the drop down menu at the top right of the main page. Anna will be teaching an introduction to English Paper Piecing (EPP) workshop from 11:45-12:45pm.

If you have not attended before, this is the festivals 4th year bringing together folks from across the fibre community in Algoma. There are businesses, individual vendors and artisans, selling supplies and handmade pieces. There are activities for all ages and even some animal friends from some of the local fibre producing farms in the area. The Desbarats Farmers Market will also be taking place outside of the arena at the same time as the festival. Be sure to stop by our table and say hello!

We have lots of new fabrics and yarns in stock if you are in need of some inspiration! We have also brought in the new Bernina B580 Liberty Special Edition

and the package has to be seen to be believed! We have multiple Bernina and bernette domestic floor models, as well as long arms on sale with special in store pricing.

They won't last long at these prices. If you would like to set up a time to try out any of our sewing machines you can email patty@creativebasket.ca or call the shop at 705-842-2018.

We hope you are enjoying this beautiful summer weather and finding time to do the things that bring you joy.
